In Dordrecht we presented our Sale Away soundinstallation at DordtYart. The installation consisted of a series of wooden boxes, placed high on the metal framework that formed the hall. The work fitted perfectly into it’s surroundings through placement, colour and material. When the boxes were activated, they made a deafening noise. For DordtYart we added four sections to the Sale Away orchestra; flute blowing vacuum cleaners, a quivering pile of boxes, metal angle grinders, and a series of toy-organs that literally played the definition of sound. Three compositions were written especially for the location to ensures a dynamic orchestral sound in the hall. Visitors were assigned the role of conductor; they could put instruments in motion by using their mobile phones.
